How many people will a gallon beverage serve?
A gallon will serve 20 six-ounce servings.
How many people will a quiche serve?
Our quiche is baked in a 9 inch pie shell and will serve 5 to 6 people.
How many people will a quart of food serve?
A quart of food will serve 6 to 8 people.
How many people will a fruit or vegetable tray serve?
We usually suggest that you order enough for 3-5 pieces per person.
What are your casseroles served in?
The Summer Kitchen Cafe casseroles are served in two different sized aluminum pans. A 10" x 12" pan will hold up to 10 servings and a 12" x 20" pan will hold up to 25 servings.
What is the minimum number of servings you need to place a catering order from the casserole or salad menu?
You need to place an minimum order of 10 servings per casserole or salad.
What is the minimum number of Box Lunches you can order at one time?
You must order a minimum of 8 box lunches at one time.
How many people does a 300 piece cheese and cracker tray serve?
The Summer Kitchen Cafe suggests that you allow 3 to 4 servings per person, so a 300 piece tray will serve 37 to 50 people.
Pricing
How much are your paper products and what do they include?
Paper products are $.50 per person. Silverware and a napkin alone are $.25 per person.
What do you charge for one egg?
The Summer Kitchen Cafe charges $.79 for one egg.
What does the Summer Kitchen Cafe charge for a side of breakfast meat?
The Summer Kitchen Cafe charges $1.99 per side of sausage patties, sausage links, or ham, or bacon.

What is a stratta?
A stratta is a baked egg dish, with a layer of fresh sliced potatoes lining the bottom, along with a meat, a cheese, and a vegetable of your choice.
Can we substitute potato chips for fruit on the Box Lunches?
Yes, you can substitute potato chips for fruit on the Box Lunches with no additional charge.
What are croissant puffs and what are they stuffed with?
Croissant puffs are1/3 of the size of our regular croissant and can be stuffed with your choice of homemade chicken salad, tuna salad, ham salad, turkey, roast beef, or ham.
What is an aztec pie?
An aztec pie is a layered dip served with homemade tortilla chips. The dip consists of refried beans, green onion, black olives, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and guacamole.
Do you make a caesar salad?
Yes, but only during the summer months.
What kind of muffins does the Summer Kitchen Cafe make on a daily basis?
We make a blueberry, raspberry, cherry almond, morning glory, bran, and a low-fat muffin each day. We make a specialty muffin on the weekends.
What is the portion size of potato casseroles?
One portion size of our potato casserole from the catering menu is a little less than the junior size potato casserole from our main menu.
Timing
How long will the product stay hot in the aluminum pan?
Most of The Summer Kitchen Cafe casseroles will stay hot for approximately 15 minutes in the pan we provide as long as it stays covered.
How much advance notice does the Summer Kitchen Cafe need to prepare our catering order?
If possible, we ask that you give The Summer Kitchen Cafe a one day advance notice to prepare your catering order. Quiche Bites and Aztec Pie are two of the few items that need a 48 hour advance notice for us to prepare.
